Parque de Amor revitalized parts of a public park in the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood thanks to a partnership between the Botellas de Amor Foundation and Banco Banesco. Through surveys and participatory workshops with residents, the park’s key needs were identified, including the creation of gathering spaces, especially for mothers in the community.
The project used recycled plastics collected by the foundation to design functional and sustainable furniture. In addition to transforming the space, Parque de Amor is a prime example of the partnerships that can be forged with private companies to promote sustainable, community-focused projects. This model demonstrates how citizen participation and social responsibility can be integrated to create more inclusive and welcoming urban spaces.
