This project transformed a vacant lot into a public park through participatory design and community co-creation. In collaboration with the Geo Azul Foundation, former inmates were involved in the initial construction work, which was complemented by community workdays focused on painting, installing park furniture, and planting. As part of the project, a governance committee was established to ensure the park’s maintenance and proper use, with reURBE playing a key role during the years of its operation. Following its inauguration, the park became a dynamic space that hosted community and cultural events for five years, establishing itself as a key gathering place for the neighborhood.
